Sometimes ya just feel like a butt. Know what I mean? A ciggy! Yup. That’s pretty much the shallow explanation of the new video for Put Me Out by The Used.

The track, which is actually a metaphor for a love gone sour, is featured on the band’s latest album, Vulnerable.

Describing the video, frontman Bert McCracken told Fuse: “When I am at a rock show, I am able to simply be myself. Plus, sometimes we all feel like a cigarette.”

The amped-up tune has McCracken scrockin’ (screamin’ + rockin’ = a new word I just invented; get into it!): “I gave you everything, you threw it away/ Put me out like a cigarette, out like a cigarette.”

The band is currently headlining its own U.S. gigs with Twin Atlantic and Stars in Stereo.
