Man, it feels like it’s been too long since I took a moment to represent the powerhouse ladies of the music industry. You know the kind. The rocker chicks that make you want to tousle your hair, kick ass, take names, break down boundaries and make no apologies. Females with feline looks, ferocious appeal and fiendishly fire-bending music skills. Girls that not only strive to be competitively unique, but help make the world a better place in the process.

The Veronicas are all this and more — a wicked full-time investment. Instead of screwing around and ignoring the world around them, they make it their business to become involved. They boycott the fur industry, take a stand for education and resilience, and find new ways to bring dazzling sensations into the pop stream. Now they’re looking for a new sound for their third album, and I’m pretty sure they’ll find it.

At first glance, you may think their music doesn’t match with their minds. They’re sharp, astute, and daringly forward. Meanwhile, their music seems strictly built for highways to Partytown. But who says you can’t mix groove with brains?

Heart Like A Boat is just one of the songs they’ve unveiled to the public so far, and it’s got a decent grip.
