THE OVERDOSE OF ROBYN

She’s blonde. She’s fearless. She spews pop.

Robyn and her writing + hooks + visual stylings pack more of a punch than all the packaged new generation Madonnas.

So why isn’t Robyn as suffocating as say Lady GaGa in America? Is it because she adorns a butch blonde crop top and doesn’t walk the streets of London in a bikini? I think that’s a part of it. But where these other pop tarts come away with more (annoying) attention, adorning egos and weaves and rhinestones one can’t help but to see that it’s all a bit phony and contrived.

From what I’ve gathered through the personality of her music Robyn would have none of the contrived fakery. Her look, her sound, her voice–it’s all, simply put, REAL.

And in the long run, Robyn’s genuine art is a beautiful healthy dancefloor drug, NOT A SUGAR PILL.
