LILY ALLEN MAY BE A MESS BUT HER MUSIC ISN’T

She may have gotten carried out of a club, wasted and flung over her father’s shoulders but with her new album, IT‘S NOT ME IT’S YOU, Lily Allen proves that there’s another reason (besides the pathetic paparazzi jabs for attention) why we know her name–her talent.
The best track in my opinion, by a landslide is I COULD SAY, a tender ballad that tastes of awakening after heartbreak. I think, underneath every mess of a person lies a soul, and even if Lily Allen has a hard time exposing that soul outside the walls of her music, she definitely makes up for it inside those same walls creating wallpaper with a color of hypnosis that you can’t help but to fall into her trance.
Since you’ve gone I feel like I’ve gotten older,
And now you’ve gone it feels as if the whole wide world is my stage
And now you’ve gone it’s like I’ve been let out of my cage
